Dr. Hongchao Li is an Associate Professor of Health Economics and is the Director of the Department of Health Economics at the School of International Pharmaceutical Business, China Pharmaceutical University. He also serves as deputy director of the Center for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, and deputy director of the Center for Drug Clinical Comprehensive Evaluation Technology of Jiangsu Province. He is the board member of the National PE Committee of China, Vice Chairman of the PE Committee of the China Traditional Chinese Medicine Association, Executive Committee Member of the PE Committee of the China Research Hospital Association, and secretary-general of PE Committee of Jiangsu Province. His main research directions include pharmacoeconomic evaluation and analysis of medical and health policies.
He was awarded the Excellent Young Researcher Scholarship during his master’s training at Peking University from 2004 to 2006, and has been a visiting scholar in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics, McMaster University, from 2013 to 2014. He has extensive experience in health economic evaluation and health policy analysis. In the past five years, he has hosted over 80 research projects and published over 30 papers in peer-reviewed SCI/SSCI journals. Dr. Li is also deputy editor-in-chief of both the 2011 and 2020 versions of the China Guidelines for Pharmacoeconomic Evaluations.
