A delegation led by Prof. Wang Hua, Vice President of Emlyon Business School in France, visited our university on March 20. Prof. Kong Lingyi, Vice President of our university, along with the heads of the School of International Pharmaceutical Business, the School of Modern Pharmaceutical Industry, the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, and other relevant departments, attended the welcome ceremony.
Vice President of our university, Prof. Kong Lingyi extended a warm welcome to Prof. Wang Hua and the delegation in the beginning. Prof. Kong briefly introduced our university and expressed his expectation for promoting our university’s internationalization. He expressed a desire for enhanced communication and the development of practical cooperation in the near future.
The representatives from Emlyon Business School delivered a brief overview about their school and the cooperation with universities in China. They highlighted the recent development of the affiliated Global Healthcare Industry Center.
Accordingly, the representatives from the School of International Pharmaceutical Business, and the School of Modern Pharmaceutical Industry in our university presented brief introduction to each school, and put forward their intentions in future cooperation. The two sides fully discussed the training of interdisciplinary medical talents, exchanges between teachers and students, and cooperation in teaching and research. Initial consensus has been reached in the areas of student exchange programs (undergraduate and graduate programs, summer schools, etc.), sharing of teachers, courses, and internship resources in enterprises, co-hosting international conferences, co-building continuing education programs for pharmaceutical executives, and entrepreneurship and innovation management projects in the biomedical field. Both sides indicated that they will promote the implementation of the above projects in a positive attitude.
Vice President Wang Hua summarized the various cooperation directions in his concluding speech, saying that both sides had huge cooperation space in the field of health. He held the hope that this visit would become a new starting point to promote practical cooperation and enhance friendship.
Afterwards, the delegation toured the Pharmacy Museum and the State Key Laboratory of Natural Medicines on Jiangning Campus.
Emlyon business school was founded in 1872, ranked among the top business schools in France. It is among the 1% of global business schools to be accredited by the three international accreditation systems: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. The School of International Pharmaceutical Business signed a framework cooperation agreement with Emlyon Business School in 2023.
