On 22 May, Associate Professor Hu Xia, Director of International Trade Teaching and Research Division, led representatives of teachers and students majoring in international economics and trade to visit Jiangsu Kaiyuan Pharmaceutical Co. Chairman Yan Libo, Gu Chunxue, Deputy General Manager, Zeng Lijia, Assistant General Manager together with other representatives of the company participated in this activity.
Yan Libo delivered a warm welcome to our delegation and gave a detailed introduction on the company history, pipelines and strategies. Other than these, he highly appreciated the talent cultivation of our school in hoping that we both sides could establish a long-term, sustainable cooperation. He welcomed the high-quality interdisciplinary talents in pharmaceutical international trade from our school to join in Kaiyuan.
Director Hu Xia expressed her gratitude to Kaiyuan Pharmaceutical Company for its warm reception, and hoped that this visit could deepen the communication of both sides. And the school could gain an in-depth understanding of talent demand from industry, explore the practical mode of school-enterprise cooperation and construct internship and practice platforms. In addition, she also proposed to deepen the docking between school and enterprises, and jointly cultivate talents who are more capable to serve for the industry and international trade so as to realize the complementarity of strength and achieve mutual benefits and win-win situation. During the seminar, our school representatives and Mrs. of Kaiyuan had in-depth exchanges on the construction of courses, internship and practice platforms, employment promotion etc. Finally, our school representatives touted around the company.
The site visit provides practical reference for the program revision of the International Economy and Trade degree. Further, this field trip enriches students' knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry with a clear understanding of their career choices in the near future.
