Further standardized teaching affairs and a good teaching order are the premise of comprehensive quality improvement of teaching. We held a meeting for promoting the quality of teaching on December 6. Three teaching practice supervisors of CPU, Professor Zhuang Zhengfeng, Lu Jinrong and Chu Shuzhen were invited. The members of the school administrators, directors of teaching and research divisions, and teacher representatives were presented together. The meeting was chaired by Professor Mao Ningying, Vice Dean of our school.

In the beginning, Vice Dean, Professor Mao Ningying publicized the findings of the mid-term teaching inspection of our school. Next, the directors were requested to pay a closer look at these findings and to inform every single teacher of each division. Prompt rectification and solid steps must be taken to deliver the outcome. Then, Vice Dean Mao Ningying conveyed the guiding principles of two documents released by the Academic Affairs Office on the Regulations on the Operation of Undergraduate Courses of CPU and the Measures for the Determination and Handling of Teaching Failures of CPU. Consequently, Professor Hu Xia presented a demonstration course of Introduction to the Discipline of International Economic and Trade”. Lastly, all participants discussed the feedback from the mid-term teaching inspection and the status quo of collaborative lesson planning.

Teaching supervisors highlighted that collaborative lesson planning is an critical way to benefit our courses. It is an indispensable part of improving undergraduate teaching quality and optimising talent cultivation. But ensuring the validity and correctness of examination marking and scoring is an imperative aspect of a good teaching order. In addition, they put forward practical suggestions to enhance the teaching quality.

This meeting is one of the vital initiatives of our school on Strengthening Teaching Practices . And, the teaching supervisors’ opinions provide useful and practical guidance for us. Next, we will continuously endeavor to strengthen teaching management, build up a more rigorous teaching and learning practice, and make greater contributions to the high-quality training of pharmacy talents.
